“Yes, hi!” Jioni replied, clearing her throat. “I have something pretty cool, something you can’t pass up. You’d be a fool to let this item go.”
“Oh yeah?” Hippie Girl folded her arms. “Let me see it.”
Jioni pulled out the flannel balled up in her arms. She promptly opened it up and displayed it: no tears, no buttons missing. Not even a single speck of dust. Hippie Girl blinked once and looked at Jioni, then back at the flannel. She proceeded to smile, followed by erupted laughter. Jioni could only lower the flannel and look away.
“No, no. I’m not laughing at you, butterfly—It’s just that Derrin has often told me how you try to use that flannel as payment and—!” Hippie Girl laughed almost between each word. “I never thought I’d see the flannel in person!”
“Ok,” Jioni said. She blushed and cut off Hippie Girl’s rambling. “I need help. This is the only thing I have left.”
