Damaged: 3-6

“I was going to use my fists,” Kathy said. She curiously swung the nunchuck in the air. “But this will be much more fun.”

“Ok, new plan. We walk slowly around it to not draw attention,” Jioni said as she pointed the flashlight at an open door. “Hippie Girl said the room would be open, so I’m guessing it’s that one. You see it?”

“Yeah.”

“It’ll be night soon, so let’s hurry.”

“Wait, wait, wait—walking slowly is how you attract the Tenebris—you need to get rid of it,” Kathy dejected.

Jioni’s face contorted in stress. “Well, I’ve heard Tenebris are dumb, and if you walk slowly—”

“You’ll get bit. If you walk slowly you’ll get bit!” Kathy whisper-yelled.”

“It doesn’t even have a mouth, Kat,” Jioni said. “Let’s walk slowly, ok? Trust me.”

“Whatever, dude.”

Jioni’s palms sweat as she held the weapon and flashlight.

She crouched down and walked forward, but Kathy pulled her back, and took the lead; Jioni then crept in next and monitored her steps; she held her breath and stared at the Tenebris—It remained motionless, facing the same direction as it did earlier.
