“I’ll trade you the gold necklace for the sticker. Heck, I’ll even take the flannel off your hands. Can I have it, please, please, please?”

Jioni’s shoulders concave with defeat at Hippie Girl’s hyperactive mannerisms: a fidgeting body, a red face, and a wide grin.

Jioni pressed her body back further, a frown etched onto her face. Brandon was right. Hippie Girl’s face was scary. Jioni wanted out. She threw her hands up and sighed. 

“Ok, ok. Keep the sticker. And I don’t want your ‘supply and demand’ jewelry either,” Jioni said. “But I want more of this hot flower water.” Her eyebrows lowered as she sipped more tea. Even with the cup to her face, a watchful eye remained on Hippie Girl.

“Awe, thanks, Jioni! You made my day,” She lunged forward with a hug.
