“And those idiots downstairs. They should reserve their energy for tomorrow’s fight instead of goofing around,” LaMesha nagged. “I doubt they even know what being an Agent is.”

 “You’re serious?” DaMarko asked.

 “Very serious.”

“I should’ve known. You’re always serious,” DaMarko said. Then he smiled. “Being an Agent, there’s nothing more rewarding. It’s not about the ridiculously long hours or the intense training. No, it’s about the amazing, talented people we work with. The friends you make, the status you gain, the things you can buy! The difference you can make in everyday people’s lives!”

 “I know that, but I feel like I’m the only one here that takes it seriously,” LaMesha said.

 “And that’s why you’re miserable, sis. And the Agents downstairs, they’re not idiots, they just want to relax. It’s been a hard day,” DaMarko said. “Also I think the brunette one, I forgot her name. Anyway, she has a crush on me. I can tell by her eyes.”
