Her wrist was caught by his hand.

Jioni stopped, then turned to him. Before she could react, he pulled her into a hug. A tight hug.

She immediately hugged back and felt calm again. Her whole body ached from the fight an hour ago, but the pain melted off of her with this gesture. Jioni relaxed and then let go of him.

“You don’t have to tell me,” He smiled, but pain and confusion were still written on him. “It’ll be ok, whatever it is.”

“Thank you. But I should really go. I didn’t mean to interrupt your training.”
