“A Junior Agent? Because even for a Junior, this must have been difficult.”
Tracey paused, “No, she’s not a Juinor Agent.”
Tracey could see the transition on their faces. Both Bree and Skylar look up, surprised; Their mouths fell open; they knew much about the Jioni situation, but not that much. Tracey felt a shiver down her spine; before she could explain herself or the lesson that she was trying to teach Jioni, Bree spoke—cutting off Tracey with genuine disgust on her face.
“Skylar, what law does that break?” Bree asked. “I am sure there are multiple. The first one I can think of is starting an Agent Trial on an unauthorized time and day.”
“Yes, and also allowing a non-Agent, not even a Junior, to go past level three.” Skylar folded his arms with a distraught look.
“And, and of course, endangering a teen as well as involuntary manslaughter, and knowing you, I bet you pressured her not to tell anyone—add extortion to the list.”
Tracey could only stand there as the charges against her began to pile up—she was speechless, caught red-handed for good this time; only wishing she had deleted the metadata or at least told the secretary to hide the remote; she looked at her feet in shame and knew what Bree’s next words would be.
