Jioni stopped jogging around the entrance and instead walked around to find a suitable opening. Vines covered each window, making it impossible to see inside. She focused on the window in front of her—Jioni peered through the plants. It was completely dark inside, minus one spot through the window. The light in the back of the building bled through, illuminating the destroyed lobby within.
“I need to find that opening,” Jioni whispered to herself. She concentrated on every adjacent window she could see from her own. While some windows gave off a faint light, the one with the brightest light might be the opening.
As she continued to peek inside, something touched her shoulder—Jioni jumped back—and almost tripped on a branch near her feet; It was Kathy. Jioni frowned.
