Kathy shook her head with a smile, “This. This is why you can’t come here alone. You’re not aware of your surroundings.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” Jioni said.
“You shouldn’t either,” Kathy said back. She pushed Jioni slightly out of the way to see what she was looking at.
Jioni wished she could have found an entrance fast enough; a shiver soon went down her spine. Brandon had just arrived and hadn’t said anything. He strolled by with concern baked onto his face.
At this point it would be pointless to get them to leave. Jioni walked towards the back window, and her friends followed. “Be careful. We only have one flashlight and must get to the top floor.”
