“I know these look silly, but put them on,” Emmit said. He handed Jioni a pair of headphones. “That’ll test your hearing. Let me know if you can hear the tones.”
Jioni took the headphones and placed them on her head. The sounds first played in her right ear; a short tune came in increments of two seconds, fainter with each play, she heard the high and low pitches perfectly.
“Ok, now let’s try your left.” He said, then ran the test.
Jioni waited for the test to start but heard nothing. She could only tell the test began by Emmitt’s slightly distressed face; Jioni couldn’t even hear the loudest tone.
“Well, after running the tests, I’ve concluded that your arm and ear are damaged,” Emmitt said in a deep voice.
