“Jioni, is that you?” Derrin called up from above. “What are you doing out so late?”
“I need to talk to you,” Jioni replied as she gazed up.
The sun finally set, and a slight breeze caused her to shiver. The stone wall stood in front of her. She peeked around the barren area: flat stone walkways, some grass, and an abandoned drain cover. Jioni cracked her knuckles, tossed her wooden plank, and began to climb the wall. Her hands grabbed onto any poking-out stone she could find. Her damaged arm tingled again, but she didn’t let that ruin her quick pace. The higher she got, the more Derrin’s face became clear and concerned.
“You know there are stairs, right? Get down from there and take the stairs.” Derrin said.
