Mayor Tracey: 7-1

The walk was a long, slow, cold one. One with questions Jioni built up in her mind that lacked resolve. She needed to speak to Tracey. The volatile, unpredictable, yet affectionate Mayor Tracey. And as she thought to propose her plan to the mayor tomorrow, her absurd, stolen plan. She had doubts. And doubts led to impatience, and impatience told her to say it tonight not tomorrow. She continued to walk. The repetitive sounds of her footsteps barely distract her from her mind. Not even the sounds of a Tenebris off in the distance; her impatient thoughts were louder. Then she remembered something sour. Her eyes widened.

“LaMesha.” Jioni softly gasped.

And just mentioning that name alone reminded her how much trouble she was in. LaMesha must’ve already reported the damaged arm to Tracey.

 Jioni’s pace slowed down.

She couldn’t just go home. There was no way she could sleep with these meddlesome, unresolved thoughts.
