As her vision adjusted, she looked inside to see rows and rows of vinyl chairs, worn out and some knocked over; she coughed as dust filled her lungs; there was black mold on the edges of the walls. She walked over and touched a potted plant that was still green. To her surprise, it was fake. The idea of artificial plants always baffled her, wondering why there was a need to create these.

Emmitt closed the door, and a few clicks later, it was locked. “This place used to be a waiting room. Now it’s like a hidden waiting room—watch your step. I wouldn’t touch that—that’s black mold.”

Jioni stepped back and followed Emmitt’s lead. She then squinted her eyes. “Wait, but who’s going to put the cabinet back in place if we are in here?”

Emmitt frowned. “Well, gee, I didn’t think that far. But if any Agents come, we’ll just go through that other door. See, I did think this through.”
